The power to shine bright

Do you ever have the feeling that something is holding you back? Pushing you down…covering your light…cat got your tongue? You can’t put your finger on it, but something doesn’t feel quite right. You want more. You may even believe that you can do more. But more of what? What are you truly meant to do? It’s like a giant question mark in some future space that you may or may not be headed.

But what to do? Work is busy. Taking care of other people is stressful. You have bills to pay and bosses to please. It’s easy to spend your time and energy on the responsibilities of life because they are demanding. It’s easier to say “I’m too busy” than it is to stop and think.

If you want to figure out what’s hidden in the fog that covers your light, you have to stop. You have to think. You have to dig. Explore. Read. Reflect. You have to step out of your comfort zone and do something different.

But first…you have to STOP. Stop all of the busyness for a moment and dream. Think about the possibilities. STOP thinking about the “I have to’s” and consider for a moment the “I want to’s”.

Those things – those dreams and desires and possibilities – they are there for a reason. They are you. Beautiful, unique you. You are meant to do something great, whether for one person for many, but do you know what it is? When you remove the fog, uncover your light, and start living in alignment with who you are, you will find what you were truly meant to do.

The answer is within you, but you must dig to discover it. Who are you, truly?

  • What do you value?
  • What do you believe?
  • What motivates you?
  • What does success look like to you?

Get curious. Keep an open mind. And ask the questions to discover who you truly are. When you find this self-knowledge, you will create a life in the light. Your light.

Shine bright, my friend.
